Ross Keegan Junior Winner of the 2013 CSI League

Ardee Shooting Club would like to congratulate Ross Keegan on winning the Junior section of the 2013 CSI League. Ross is one of the newest members to our Club and despite his young age is an exceptional shot and will be a great asset to the Club.

Ross is part of a large number of former Duleek members that decided to join our Club recently and I and the rest of the Club would like to take this opportunity in welcoming all our new members.

1st Team Shoot – 15th September

Last Sunday was the start of the Team League. As nearly all the teams had at least one person missing and unfortunately for Maurice in the Battues team he was pretty lonely as he was the only member of his team to turn up. We have decided to use the best three scores out of the each team on the day.

This should ensure that whichever team you are on still has a fighting chance if someone does not turn up. Follow the link below to see this weeks scores.

Ardee Summer League 2013 Final – 22nd August

After 16 weeks we finally have come to the end of our first Summer League in the new grounds. I hope all will agree it has been a great success. I would like to thank both Jimmy and Gerry for the great variation in targets throughout the league and for all the club members that helped out with tidying up the course each week.

As was predicted last week Jimmy secured High Gun. First in A class was Thomas Lennon, in B class was Connor Duggan, in C class following a shoot off between Simon Lucas and Noreen Walsh – Simon won by one bird. For the full list of all class winners please follow the link below. A selection of photographs are also available by following the link below.

Brilliant News

Just to inform you all if you don’t know already that the Club had applied to An Bord Pleanala to appeal the decision made by the Louth Planning Department to deny us permission to shoot on Sundays.

I would like to inform you all that we have been successful in our appeal and have been granted permission to hold shoots on Sundays. This should really secure the Clubs future in its current location as doubt had been cast over the suitability of the location if we were denied Sunday shooting.

On behalf of the Club we would like to thank the committee for the pursuit of the appeal and its subsequent outcome. A lot of work went on in the background that us ordinary club members did not see.
