Only two rounds of our Summer League Shoot remaining and we have a fight for the high gun between Darren and Connor. Both are level pegging on 399. As they have both completed their 9 shoots each bird in the remaining shoots will be critical.
The scores for last Thursday’s shoot are now available below.
Last Thursday’s scores are now posted below. We could be mistaken for thinking we were on the continent with all the good weather and you know it’s really warm when your eyeballs start to sweat and your ears are starting to turn crispy under the earmuffs! Long may it continue.
The scores from round 7 of our summer league are now available below.
Last Thursday was round 6 of the summer league. The updated score sheet is attached below.
The scores from both the shoot on the 31st May and 7th June are now available below.
As stated in last weeks post all shooters have now been classified. This year the committee decided that we would classify using the Leinster League classifications as a reference but still only use 3 classes. We also stated that handicaps would be reintroduced and count towards the high gun score. so A = +0, B = +5, C = +10.
Here we are again at the start of another Summer League. We are already two rounds in and it is easy to see to all participants that this year we intend to run with more challenging targets. This is due to the increasing difficulty of targets we have seen at other grounds during the Leinster League.
This year the competition will run over twelve weeks with your best nine scores being counted towards your final scores. There will be three classes – A,B & C and we will be applying handicaps. Best of luck to all taking part.
Due to adverse weather conditions,
Walshestown Shoot will be postponed until next week.
Leg 4 Walshestown will now be held Sat & Sun
10th & 11th March 2018.
Batterstown Shoot will now take place over the
Easter Weekend 31st March – 1st April 2018.
Today was the final of our Team League. This event has been running for the last 10 weeks with four teams participating. The teams were as follows, “Happy Hogs”, Crazy Frogs”, “Hairy Dogs” and “Lovely Logs”. As predicted the “Crazy Frogs” won the overall competition. They took the early lead and were unstoppable from there. Team “Crazy Frogs” consisted of Dennis Duggen, John O’Neill, Noreen Walsh and Darren McCooey. Congratulations to the winning team and to all that took part. The grounds will be open next Sunday as normal, I hope to see you all there.
Round 9 of our Winter Team League and the “Crazy Frogs” have established a lead that I don’t think can be beaten. As next week is the final week of the League I would like to take this opportunity to thank those that helped out not only in this but in the Summer League also. Without these people setting up each week, changing the course, filling traps and the many other jobs that go unseen we could not hope to run these competitions. Hope to see you all there next week for the final.
Last Sunday’s Winter Team League scores are now available below.
Good turn out today for our winter league probably helped by the good weather. The Crazy Frogs have opened up a strong lead but there are still 3 rounds to go so it’s all there to shoot for.
