This Thursday the 24th August we will hold a 70 bird shoot. Start time 6.30 pm. All are welcome.
Well that’s our Summer League finished for another year. The twelve weeks went by so quickly. A big thank you to all who were involved in setting up the course each week, setting the course, filling traps, making sure that batteries were taken out and brought back in each week. Without their help we couldn’t run the league or the club
Congratulations to all our winners this year:
High Gun – John Loughran
Class AA – Darren McCooey
Class A – Thomas Lennon
Class B – Connor Duggan
Class C – Martin Carroll
A special thanks to our regular visitors that turn up every week and support the summer league – Joe, Mickey, Freddie and Tony. As they are regular participants of the shoot, we record their scores. Congratulations to Joe for winning the visitors class.
This year we also decided to hold a BBQ to mark the end of the league and luckily the weather Gods were smiling on us and it was a perfect evening. We would like to thank Gerry, Skippy and Darren for arranging everything. It was a brilliant evening which I think we will have to repeat next year. A selection of photos from the evening can be seen on our Photograph page.
Hard to believe that 11 weeks have passed already and next week is penultimate round of the 2017 Summer League. The race is on for the High Gun and will come down to this final shoot to decide who will be High Gun. Only 3 points separate the top two shooters. Anybody who has perpetual trophies from last years’ shoot, can you please ensure that you bring them with you next week. Please could all club members make an extra effort to come for the final shoot. Hope to see you all there.
The scores for the 10th round of the ACPC summer league are now available.
The scores from last Thursday’s damp round of the summer league are now available.
Last Thursdays score are attached below. It is just amazing that you can experience all four seasons in just a one hour shoot, blinding sun to torrential downpours!!
Apologies for the late update on last weeks scores but it has been a busy week. Seven weeks in and already we can see some people making a race to the top but this will all change in a few weeks when people start to drop their lower scores. Hope to see you all tomorrow evening. The updated scores are attached.
The weeks are really flying in. We are already 6 weeks into our summer league and the competition is starting to heat up. This weeks scores are now available.
Some updates to last Thursdays scores….OOOppppsssssss
The scores from last Thursdays shoot are now available.
Small update to the last scores.
So eventually I managed to sort out the classifications for our Summer League! With all the scores averaging very close together it was a difficult job but hopefully everybody will be happy with their places. This weeks scores are attached.
The scores from week 3 of our Summer league are now attached below.
Here we go again, the start of another Summer League. Where has that last year gone. We had a very good run in the Leinster League this year and only missed out on 3rd place by 1 point. Well done to all that took part this year. Our own round of the League went off perfectly. We must have had the two best days, weather wise of any of the shoots.
As with last year the League will run over 12 weeks with your best 9 scores going to your total. As next week will be the 3rd round, I will classify all shooters that have done 3 shoots then. Good luck shooting and I hope to see you all there next week.
Today was the final of our Team League and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer day. It was a close run race throughout between the Chippers and the Duckers but in the end the Duckers were victorious in wining the Ardee CPC 2016 Team League. Congratulations to the winners and to all those who took part.
