Brilliant News

Just to inform you all if you don’t know already that the Club had applied to An Bord Pleanala to appeal the decision made by the Louth Planning Department to deny us permission to shoot on Sundays.

I would like to inform you all that we have been successful in our appeal and have been granted permission to hold shoots on Sundays. This should really secure the Clubs future in its current location as doubt had been cast over the suitability of the location if we were denied Sunday shooting.

On behalf of the Club we would like to thank the committee for the pursuit of the appeal and its subsequent outcome. A lot of work went on in the background that us ordinary club members did not see.

Ardee Summer League 2013 – 4th & 11th July

Due to a technical error the scores from last week were not posted (I forgot!). I have corrected this mistake and both weeks scores are included in this update.

The weather over the last few weeks has been exceptional and so has been the shoot layout. It has been a real pleasure shooting in the sunshine. Whether it helps with the scores or not you feel better after it. Score attached below.

Ardee Leinster League Shoot 2013 – 30th March

The committee would like to thank all those individuals that made yesterday’s shoot a great success. This was our first big shoot on our new grounds and it went without a hitch. We would like to thank Gerry Kirk, Jimmy Healy and Denis Duggan for setting up and organising the entire day.

Also, the event would not have been possible but for the help of Maurice Cavanagh and Mill Hill CPSC. Their help has been invaluable to us as we try to get our club back up and running in our new location. Despite our shoot taking place on a Saturday we still had 209 guns turned up.

This years league is the first under the new Leinster Inter-club League Committee and covered by the Countryside Alliance. The club committee would like to wish continued success to them. Photographs will be posted as they become available.
