The club was originally founded in January 2006 with the intention of entering a team into the Leinster League shooting competition. With an initial membership of only twelve people the club has grown in numbers to a membership in excess of thirty people.
The club is based at Ardee Shooting Grounds, a commercial run shooting ground owned by Mr. David Brennan.
2007 was an extremely busy year for the club. The season started with us hosting a round of the Leinster League with 210 guns in attendance. This was followed by a 100 bird registered shoot. This was a very successful shoot with over 150 guns turing up. The club also hosted two F.I.T.A.S.C. shoots. The first being a 50 bird competition and the second being the "Irish Open" 100 bird registered, held in conjunction with Mill Hill. During the summer months we also ran two eight week mini leagues with club members being classified into different categories with 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category and an overall high gun prize.
